Ithaca DRI

Downtown Renaissance

The City of Ithaca is the recipient of a $10 million grant award from New York State Governor Kathy Hochul and the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council (STREDC) through the ninth round of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI).

The DRI award marks a major milestone in Ithaca’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its downtown core, support local businesses, expand housing opportunities, and enhance public spaces. Through a community-led planning process, the DRI will establish a shared vision and implementation strategy for the MLK Jr. Street and West State Street corridor, reconnecting and reinforcing the vitality of Downtown Ithaca and The Commons.
